Barcelona 1-1 Real Madrid- Real draw in Copa semifinal

Real Madrid’s five game winning streak across all competitions was halted by Barcelona as they held Santiago Solari’s men to a draw in the first leg of their Kings Cup tie. Real took the lead at the Nou Camp through Lucas Vazquez’s 6th minute effort, but Barca equalised just before the hour mark through Malcom. A 92,008 strong crowd was present to watch this El Clasico Copa clash.

Gareth Bale was a second half substitute for Real in this clash. Bale had started in the 3-0 win over Alaves over the weekend, but was on the bench for the El Clasico, and got 26 minutes of second half action after he replaced Vinicius Jr.

Real’s next game is a tough Madrid derby against rivals Atleti at the Wanda Metropolitano. Since Diego Simeone took charge of Atleti, Solari is the 6th Real manager he’s faced.
