Cristiano Ronaldo was named the best player in Europe for the 2015/16 season, pipping Real teammate Gareth Bale and Atleti’s French star Antoine Griezmann to the award.

In the 55 final votes for the award, Ronaldo picked up 40 votes, with Griezmann getting 8 and Bale 7.
