Gareth Bale got himself on the scoresheet in Real’s first league game of the season as they saw off Getafe at the Bernabeu. Real came into this game on the back of a disappointing Super Cup loss to cross town rivals Atleti, but got the result they wanted against Getafe thanks to goals from Carvajal (20) and Bale (51)

Bale played 77 minutes before coming off the pitch for Lucas Vazquez.

Getafe collected as many as seven yellow cards in this game, while only one Real player was booked- Marcelo midway through the second half.
