Gareth Bale to Man United- Rumours Refuse to Die Down

Gareth Bale has long been linked with a high-profile switch to Manchester United, even before his current club Real Madrid previously made him the world’s most expensive footballer back in 2013.

The now 28-year- old was lured to the Bernabeu four years ago with a lucrative deal as he was made the then dearest footballer ever, costing the Spanish giants around €100 million to gain his attacking services. He made an instant impact, incredibly going on to both the Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League in his maiden season there.

Bale has gone on to clinch an impressive ten major honours with the Galacticos since his record-breaking arrival, including a trio of European Cup successes and a single La Liga victory in 2017. Bale again suffers injury setback

Bale to miss Welsh World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Ireland

A calf strain injury has ruled Gareth Bale out of Wales’ crunch WC qualifiers against Georgia and the Republic of Ireland. The forward did not play in Real’s game against Espanyol and it was hoped that he would be be fit, but he is not at 100%, with Barnsley forward Tom Bradshaw called to replace Bale in the national squad.

Wales are second in the group behind Serbia, with two games to play. They’re looking to qualify for their first World Cup since 1958.

Since 2013, Wales have played six games without Bale and have not won a game, drawing three and losing three in his absence.
